Teams
Teams is a subsection of the User tab. You will find all your teams under the Teams tab. These are not the teams you are connected with as a member, but a list of all teams you can manage or that were created by you as the owner. A team is defined by its name and a sport. Teams group a set of members and each have their own calendar. Every team has its own independent roles. When a team is created, the roles coach, supervisor and player are created automatically. You can adjust them here as you like.
Sports currently only have an informational character for the team manager. In the future, myteam will adapt further functionality and texts to the individual sports so we can do each sport justice.
Of course, you can also change a team's picture by tapping the picture in the detail view of the individual team, as usual.
If no teams are shown to you, that does not mean you are not part of a team. It only means that you are not the owner of a team yourself and/or do not manage any team.
When you create a new team, you are automatically added to the member list as a coach.
If you leave a team as a member, or are not part of the team at all, you can still be the owner of the team. You can continue to manage everything and are listed as the owner in the list of linked members.
Roles
Roles have two important jobs in myteam. On the one hand, they group together members of a team who have a similar meaning/role, e.g. players. On the other hand, they define the permissions these members receive as a result.
There are currently three permissions a role can have:
-
Can edit team Gives a member extended team management permissions. This allows the member to create, edit and invite members. These members are also allowed to see a member's personal data.
-
Can edit calendar Gives a member extended calendar permissions. This allows the member to create and edit calendar entries and write match reports.
-
Can see participants Gives a member the permission to see the accept/decline status of the other team members in events.
For easier identification, you can give roles an individual color.
If a member has been assigned multiple roles within a team, the sum of all permissions from the assigned roles always applies.
Sort the roles in the team's detail view to define the order in which members are grouped in the member list.
Private roles
You can mark roles as private. This means that only members with team management permissions can see this role. All other members do not see these roles and also cannot see any other members who are exclusively in these roles. Private roles are marked with a lock icon.
Registration code
In a role's detail view you can generate an individual registration code for that role. The registration code is valid for 3 months and can be regenerated at any time. With this registration code, members can join a team on their own and enter their data themselves. The member is then created automatically and assigned to this role. A user is also automatically linked to this member.
Custom data fields for team members
In the team settings you also have the option to define various additional fields for your team members. These fields are then available for the team members. Available are:
-
Numbers (can be defined as a jersey number)
-
Text (can be defined with text suggestions)
-
Date
-
Yes/No
-
Phone numbers
If you highlight a field, it is shown in the header bar of the player's detail view.
