Why do I see images (e.g. robots) for me and some other members?
We use the Gravatar service to have an image available for every user/member. If you have already stored information there, the right image for you appears automatically. Anyone who does not use the service is automatically assigned a random image. Of course, you can upload your own image at any time. No personal data is transmitted when using the service. The service also cannot set any cookies or track your behavior.
How can I reach you? Where do I send my ideas, suggestions or bug reports?
You can contact us at any time through various channels. You can find us on the well-known social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, or simply the classic way by e-mail at support[ng]myteam-app.de.
E-mail is particularly well suited for bug reports. There you can easily attach screenshots or additional information.
Another option is the contact form on our website, if you have nothing else at hand.
Why is my user account locked? I did not receive an e-mail with a verification link.
Occasionally, e-mails may not be delivered. This can have many reasons. We have even ended up on spam lists because someone accidentally misclassified us. Likewise, your e-mail service or program may declare the e-mail as spam and delete it or move it to a spam folder.
If your user account gets locked because of this (this happens automatically after 7 days without confirmation), a new e-mail is normally sent immediately when you try to log in. If you still do not receive an e-mail, your coach can also check whether you may have used a different e-mail address than intended when registering, or whether there is a typo.
If none of this helps, just get in touch with us briefly. Either send us an e-mail to support[ng]myteam-app.de or a message via Facebook, and we will unlock your account as quickly as possible.
Why is the myteam app free of charge and without tracking?
Currently, the myteam app is provided by the company TEQneers as a charitable contribution. TEQneers bears the development and operating costs for all of us. Many employees are already involved in volunteer work and see myteam as another way to do something good for the community.
For further growth and to keep the service running, we are always looking for partners who support us in our goals. Our goal is for it to remain free of charge for you. Unfortunately, we had to decide to make the app ad-supported. After more than 5 years of development entirely at our own expense, the effort has become too great.
How is my data stored?
Your data is stored exclusively on servers of the company TEQneers. All servers are located in Germany. TEQneers operates myteam in a DIN ISO/IEC 27001 certified data center. Your data is only visible within your team. Personal data of team members, such as optionally entered phone numbers and birthdays, as well as the e-mail address used when you registered, are only shown to the team administrators. Your password is never stored in plain text. Only checksums are stored in order to validate your password input.
We do not pass e-mail addresses on to third parties. They are used exclusively to contact you regarding the myteam app when you reset your password, when important work needs to be done on the system that could affect you as a coach, or for matters that require your urgent attention. We will never contact you for advertising purposes. E-mail addresses are also shown to the respective coach (or team administrator) so that the coach can contact you regarding team matters.
Why does the myteam app want to share my data with myteam-app.com?
myteam is a centrally managed service. So that all team members can work together as a team, all members must have access to the data and cannot store it locally on their smartphones.
For a user to gain access to this data, they must sign in/log in to the myteam service. This is done via a secure and standardized OAuth 2.0 procedure. If you use an iPhone, starting with iOS version 11.0 the operating system will additionally ask you whether you want to allow the myteam app to share your data with myteam-app.com. If you do not allow this, you cannot sign in to the service and collaborate with your team.
Here you can read again where and how our data is managed and which data we store.
