Why we have to introduce advertising in the myteam App

Dear myteam community,

for more than five years we have been developing the myteam App with a lot of heart and passion – exclusively on our own at TEQneers, often in our free time and entirely without external support. Over the years, the initial idea has grown into a comprehensive solution for sports teams that supports thousands of teams in their organization day after day. This makes us very happy – and proud.

At the same time, the app has grown so much that the effort involved exceeds our available resources. Even though we have developed myteam with full conviction, as a company we naturally have to operate economically. Unfortunately, despite many attempts, we have never found a partner willing to share the running costs.

Therefore – after careful consideration – we have decided to display advertising in the myteam App in the future. It was not an easy decision. But it is necessary so that we can continue to operate, maintain and further develop the app.

What is important to us:

• We want to bother you as little as possible.
• We do not want to collect unnecessary data.
• It is solely about covering part of the costs so that myteam can continue to exist.

How well this works will become clear in the coming months. We are also currently examining whether we can offer you options in the future, such as turning off advertising via in-app purchase or providing additional premium features.
